Citizen is a station that has poached well and you can clearly see the results of this strategy. The best from the rest reside here, and and we hear it is the best paying media house. The programming offers content for everyone, from the Nigerian movies, cartoons, the Mexican and asian soaps to the American series. Their news is ever fresh, and Julie Gichuru’s slot, I think, is the most watched in the evening segment on TV. The only challenge is keeping this up.
Firstly, kudos to Citizen TZ for being pace setters for other television stations. I am normally one of those people who switch stations once business news begins, however, with Citizen Business News...this is quite the contrary.
Their business news is well researched and easy to understand.I especially like the segment of business news that they define what certain 'business' terms mean. Secondly, I would also like to congratulate them for having two of their journalist win CNN journalist awards. However, I totally agree with James,Ken and Gichingiri...Citizen should (read MUST) reduce on the Latino Soap Operas. There is a lot more Kenyan Productions that are being produced (or have been produced and not aired) that are more interesting to watch. Citizen has an original and fresh look and also has quite a lot of local content which is good but i think the Mexican soaps and just soaps in general is too much. I'm also wondering what happened to their digital signal since the deadline is next year, please look into that.
Citizen are the current pace setters for local programming and also for localized production of game shows like tpf and sakata.
How they overtook KBC with their local shows is marvellous, they just need to keep the shows coming by not having them drag too long. After some time even Vioja became boring and predictable, I feel kina Papa and Tahidi High should be on their last laps now. I love the news I think they demand alot from their news anchors who also double up as feature journalists This is the best station for local entertainment with many programmes. It promotes local talent and the local film industry. good work from the guys at royal media on the promotion of the local industry and indepth coverage of the entire country.
Am really liking the entire royal media services not to biased as am appreciating from radio to television services. In radio you are the kingpins because you are listened countrywide by every ethnic group. There is a radio station for people of every language. In television you are the leading in local broadcasting. In news you are the one you completely cover the stories.I request you start casting sport games
Citizen changed the game on local programs and I like them for that, but the latino soaps really put me off.
I like the music on Hot 96 but nowerdays the presenters talk too much. We should appreciate African productions and Citizen TV is at the forefront in this sector. My eyes are glued to the local sitcoms and i love the series SIRI. The station is also good in terms of music mixes especially the Saturday Xtreem live show. Simply the best!
I love the way Citizen Tv shows the local programs but i think the day programming should style up because apart from Tafrija, Celebrate and the backbone kold Afrosinema wth news breaks between there is nathng much to watch. I love those inspiring moments by Mwakazi in the morning. Afrosinema airing time should b shortened, yaani even at night? Nyce station though.
These guys are more for the local mwanainchi.
I like the fact that they promote a lot of local talent. Kudos!!! Lakini that Patikana program is WHARK!!! |
