I like this bank as they know how to create avenues that enable you to bank with them without ever going to an actual bank, i love the agency banking model since now i never have to go to a branch to make any withdrawals or deposits and also the MKesho service and internet banking are all my favourites, keep it up.
Equity has probably the largest number of account holders but is probably the most impersonal bank in the region.
Anything you want is read from a script and if you do not fit in then you do not apply. I'm not sure there is any other way of running a bank for a mass market. The challenge going forward will be whether the individual account holders find it relevant to be an account holder there. The equity website has scanty info and they do not reply to emails sent to the customer care email adresses displayed. They should adress this as this will reduce the no. of people making calls and/or visiting their offices. Otherwise the products are wonderful for regular kenyans and they are a welcome breeze in the banking sector.
Equity bank is living to it's name of fairness. The costumer our is the biggest asset in equity.Am rely proud to be a member of this bank.Your sponsored projects are not for the financial gain but for assisting the people involved. The plan of employing form four leaver who have pass and giving sponsorship to needy students is very reasonable
big thanks to James Mwangi and Equity mananging directors you really made kenyans to move from charcoal to gold on side of investing like free account openning, ensuring you are almost corner of country, educating people need to open an account, short loan proccess etc.i am a member and every one wants to be a member.
Equity bank is at it once again. I understand they now have 'agents' through whom customers may deposit and withdraw cash instead of using the ATM's. Those of you who have interacted with Equity Bank ATM's know there is nothing more frustrating than trying to get cash at peak time i.e. end/beginning of the month.
I have not used the 'agents' but I see an Institution which is responding to customer needs and that is a commendable step. ur services are high. It has grown at a faster rate. It is almost everywhere in Kenya. Keep it up EQUITY!
Equity bank broke many myths about banking in Kenya and in the process got a whole section of unbanked Kenyans into the system and for that they got the credit that was due to them-including the amazing international recognition accorded to the CEO Dr. Jameas Mwangi.
However, the Bank has got to get off its laurels. It is now popular for 1 thing, and that is the famous 'out of service' signs on the ATM's come every single end of month. Clearly there is a systems problem here. The situation is made worse by a staff including managers who have no idea how to treat their customers. Equity serves the lower end of the market, some may not know how to demand their rightful respect as they are served, but I can tell you that the bank is treading on a very thin line if the systems are not taken care of and if the staff do not learn to treat us right. your service r just down to earth 2 me every common mwananchi
I love that registration is free.
