K24 as a station is too dependent on Jeff Koinange. He provides a clear niche for them as a station. However, one can see his ideas and concepts in every aspect of the programming. The result is that it seems a lot like a one man station. I wonder what ,God forbid, they would do if something nasty happens to him, have they a redundancy plan? They should have an alternate run the bench for a month to test redundancy. Granted they have a team of capable journalists, and they try. But it will take a while for them to grow. They need diversity.
I like this station because it has very good informative documentaries that expose things about this country that many of us didn't know about.keep up the good work especially on investigative journalism. My only problem with the station is that many times i find the lip-sync off, do somenthing about it.
Apart from Capital talk and the show on entrepreneurship that comes at around 9pm, there is really nothing much k24 have to offer.
The idea of a 24hr Kenyan news channel doesn't work and they need to fill in the gaps with more predictable programming plus explore deeper into Kenyan content. There is alot of potential in music, culture, politics and current affairs shows but the presentation and the depth of research is what they need to work on. My favourite segment is the jeff koinange segment called capital talk. He always brings informative, interesting guests and his style is very fresh and entertaining. Good stuff but they should do more to get untold stories/ news.
Where there is a masterpiece there is Jeff Koinange, the way he is real on Capital Talk just makes my nights. He speaks of issues that touch on our country and with the leaders who know more about it and with whom we have bones to pick with. I love K24 for that!!
i love the shows and wish you continue with the real stories told in real time
